Let’s get curious together about who you are and how you got here…
I use Gestalt therapy as a relational, present-focused approach to psychotherapy. Rather than analysing the past in the abstract, together we pay close attention to what's alive for you right now - in your body, your emotions, your thoughts, and in the relationship between us - because this is where old patterns tend to show up most clearly.
What this looks like in practice:
- Curiosity over diagnosis. I’m less interested in labelling what's "wrong" and more interested in understanding how you experience yourself and your world.
- The present moment as a doorway. Noticing what's happening as we talk - a shift in your body, a pause, an emotion - often reveals more than recounting events in detail.
- Awareness as the engine of change. Gestalt therapy holds that people don't change by trying harder to be different - they change by becoming more fully aware of who they already are.
- The relationship itself matters. How we relate to one another in the room is often a live example of the patterns you're working through - and a safe place to try something new.
Sessions are collaborative rather than directive. I won't tell you what your life should look like - I'll help you get curious about it, so the direction becomes clearer from the inside.
