I believe every person already holds the capacity for wholeness and awareness. Sometimes we just need someone to walk alongside us while we rediscover it.

About me

Sarah Black sitting on a sofa during a conversation with a psychotherapy client in a cozy therapy room with houseplants and window.

My journey into this work began close to home. Watching my mother explore Gestalt therapy as part of her own life journey sparked a curiosity that eventually became a calling - seeing the impact that self-awareness, presence, and authentic connection could have on a person's life set me on the same path.

I’ve spent more than thirty years working across government, private, and not-for-profit sectors - including international aid and community development - alongside individuals, teams, and communities navigating complexity, change, and adversity. That work shaped my understanding of resilience, trauma, and culture long before I sat in a therapist's chair, and it's part of what I bring into the room with clients today.

I welcome people from all walks of life and value the uniqueness of every person's story. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, a life transition, a loss of direction, or simply want to understand yourself more deeply, I offer a warm, respectful, and non-judgemental space to explore your experience at your own pace.
